Breaking news: Abuja #ENDSARS protesters hold Jumat Prayers infront of Bolingo

…Slams FCT Minister for banning protests

Protesters in Abuja on Friday defied the ban on protests by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and joined their fellow citizens across the country to campaign against police brutality and call for overhauling of the nation’s police.

The protesters had their Jumat Prayer at the Bolingo Hotel Junction before proceeding with the campaign across the city.

Vehicular movements were temporarily stopped during the prayer, but were later allowed shortly the prayer was over.

The road links the National Stadium and leads to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Kogi and Kaduna states.

The FCT Administration had on Thursday announced ban on all forms of protests in the city as part of efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the country.
